Environmental Conservation

We are driven by the believe that strong and healthy ecosystems are vital ingredients for life, well-being and sustainable development. We work to protect and restore threatened ecosystems in Kenya. Pollution, climate change, agriculture and industry growth are all putting a strain on global biodiversity, causing species populations to decline and the health of ecosystems to suffer. The ongoing disappearance of natural habitats is not only a threat to wildlife, but to the welfare and survival of humanity.

Tackling Climate Change

The world is changing dramatically due to climate change. We’re taking action to protect life on Earth for future generations. The 2015 Paris Agreement was a landmark global response to combat climate change. But many countries and companies still aren’t doing enough. That is where The Unfinished Agenda Africa comes in.

Promoting Environmental Justice

Environmental justice is based on the reality that certain groups in society bear unequal environmental and economic burdens like poor air and water quality, as well as unhealthy living conditions resulting from industrial, municipal, and commercial operations, state, and local laws, regulations, and policies. We use non-violent, creative confrontation to expose environmental injustices and to bring forth the solutions which are essential to a green and peaceful future.

What We're Doing

We’re fighting to end pollution because the health of people and planet are inextricably linked. We find new ways to use the law to challenge polluting plants. We’re tackling harmful chemicals, putting an end to plastic pollution and fighting for clean air.

We are taking action to block the planned coal mining in Mui Basin, Kitui County.

The rights and expertise of Indigenous people are central to effective climate action. Secure land rights can directly enhance both climate mitigation and adaptation by creating the conditions and incentives for people to invest in their land. We secure land rights for communities to protect ecosystems from corporate interests and unjust land grabs. By preserving and restoring these landscapes, we support positive outcomes for conservation, livelihoods, and climate mitigation alike. Meaningful participation of women, Indigenous Peoples, and youth in climate action is a cornerstone of climate justice.
